Rosie Perez

KimRosie Perez, born Rosa Maria Perez June 6, 1964, is an American dancer and actress. Her first role in the role of Tina in Do the Right Thing (1989) was followed by White Men Can't jump (1992). Perez was nominated to win the Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Fearless (1993). Perez has appeared in a number of films since the time and has appeared in films such as It Could Happen to You (1994), The Road to El Dorado ((2000), Pineapple Express (2008) and Birds of Prey (2021). She was nominated for three Primetime Emmy Award nominations, one for In Living Color (1990-1994) and another for her character in The Flight Attendant (2020-2021). She has also appeared in stage plays on Broadway like The Ritz, Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, and Fish in the Dark. She also co-hosted The View's 18th season on ABC's talk show The View. She was a student at Grover Cleveland High School, located in the Ridgewood neighborhood of Queens. [11] In 1999 her mother was in poverty at Woodside Houses when she died due to AIDS-related issues.
