Lisa Edelstein is an American actress who is best known for her role on the Fox medical series, House. She grew up in Wayne, in a conservative Jewish tradition. When she was 18, she emigrated in New York City to study at Tisch School of the Arts. However, very quickly she was active in the club scene, making enough splashes that she was recognized by the media, concurrently, becoming aware of the devastation of AIDS. Eventually she used her training and fame to compose and write an original musical entitled Positive Me as well as to appear in the show. Awake the Wild Side, a show that she was host for MTV quickly became her new job. After Awake on The Wild Side stopped being aired, she began acting in movies as well as on TV, starting with short roles. As time went on, her work as an actor grew.
