Anita Saarkessian
Anita Sarkeesian has been a Canadian and American feminist media critic for over 20 years. She's well-known as a public speech writer. She is the founder of Feminist Frequency a website that includes videos and comments on portrayals of women in popular cultural. Anita Sarkeesian, a Canadian-American journalist and critic who has been awarded awards for her work, is a feminist blogger. Feminist Frequency is an educational site for non-profit organizations that investigates representations of women in narratives from popular culture. Dispelling stereotypes of women is the main goals of her work. But, she also discusses issues of specifically targeted harassment online against women and for other groups that have been left out. Sarkeesian is a graduate in political thought and social theory from York University. She is an extremely well-respected and respected public speaking. Sarkeesian delivered speeches to the TEDxWomen Festival as well as to the United Nations Broadband Working Group. As a university student, Sarkeesian became fascinated by the issue of gender and rights for women in the early stages. It was a girl with a dream to develop an online series to examine the gender representations in games. But, she was the target of cyber-bullying. She was not deterred by the harassment, actually, it just reinforced her determination to be feminist and media critic. She is a recipient of several awards for her contributions to feministism.
