Her early success was boosted through her participation in some of the most popular TV series. There, she portrayed the evil Ling Woo. It was a moment of fame that led to film roles such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. The actress also gave a superb performance in the role of Japanese criminal lord O'RenIshii in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1.
