Allya Taylor Joy was born on the 16th of April, 1996 in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor was a former banker. Jennifer Marina Joy worked as a psychotherapist. The father of her was Argentine who had Scottish and English heritage. Her mother is Spanish and has English roots. The Taylor-Joy family was a household of six children. Four are her siblings from her previous marriage to Taylor's dad. The family is originally of Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria at the age of 6 when Taylor-Joy was born. Taylor Joy says that moving to England was a very difficult experience. Taylor Joy was unable to master English and believed she would be able to relocate back to Argentina. Hill House became her school that she chose after being forced to change schools. After that, she went to Queen's Gate School in London and took ballet classes and took part in drama productions. At 16, she left school in order to explore acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy was destined to be an actress at a young age. She realized her dream after Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling gig.
